General OHV Restrictions
The following are the requirements for OHV operators in Nevada.
- There are no driver license or minimum age requirements for OHVs operated off-highway in Nevada. City and county governments may designate small portions of public streets for access to or from off-road areas only and some age restrictions or other requirements may apply. See NRS Chapter 490 and NAC Chapter 490.
- Persons 16 years of age and older may operate an OHV on public property designated for OHV use if they have a valid driver’s license.
- Persons under 16 years of age may operate an OHV on a public highway that is open to motor vehicle use and not reserved exclusively for OHVs only if they are under the direct supervision of a person who is at least 18 years of age and licensee.
