Engine Size Standards

Operators under the age of 10 shall not operate an ATV with an engine size greater than 100cc and shall comply with the physical fit standards on the next page.

Operators from ages 10 through 13 shall not operate an ATV with an engine size greater than 250cc and shall comply with the physical fit standards.

Operators who are 14 or 15 years of age who:

  • Do not possess a valid driver's license shall not operate an ATV with an engine size greater than 250cc and shall comply with the physical fit standards.
  • Possess a valid driver's license may operate an ATV with an engine size not greater than 450cc and shall comply with the physical fit standards.

Operators at least 16 years of age may operate an ATV with an engine size greater than 250cc.
