Registration Requirements
If you operate an OHRV or snowmobile on any property or trail that does not belong to the vehicle’s owner, the OHRV or snowmobile must be registered. The only exception is youth model ATVs, trail bikes, and snowmobiles when:
- The operator is less than 12 years of age and is accompanied by a person who is 25 years of age or older and has a valid driver’s license and…
- The vehicle meets these size requirements:
- The ATV’s or trail bike’s engine size is 95cc or less and…
- The snowmobile’s engine size is 125cc or less.
To register an OHRV or snowmobile, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age and…
- Have a valid New Hampshire driver’s license or photo ID card to receive resident rates and…
- Provide the required information about your vehicle: make, model, year of manufacture, vehicle identification number (VIN), displacement, and primary and secondary colors and…
- Provide proof of membership in the New Hampshire OHRV or snowmobile club to receive the club member rate. For more information, go to “Registration Requirements” on the ride.nh.gov website.

- Visiting the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department headquarters in Concord or…
- Calling the Fish and Game Department headquarters at 603-271-3422 to register by mail.
