Registration Decals and Certificate
After you register your vehicle, you will receive a registration certificate and two decals.
The registration certificate must be carried on the vehicle and be available for inspection by an enforcement officer whenever the vehicle is being operated.
The decals include the vehicle’s registration number and must be displayed as follows.
- OHRVs and UTVs: Place one decal as high as possible on the front of the OHRV or UTV and the other one as high as possible on the vehicle’s rear.
- Both decals must be unobstructed.
- Any ATV manufactured after January 1, 1990, must have locations on the front and rear that are specifically designed for the placement of registration decals or plates. Each location must measure 3½ inches by 6 inches.
- Snowmobiles: Place the decals on each side of the cowling or the outside of the windshield so that both decals are visible and unobstructed.
