Transporting an ORV in the Back of Another Vehicle
If your ORV can be transported in the back of another vehicle, such as a pickup truck:
- Turn off the fuel valve. Run the engine until it stops, which empties the fuel line.
- If you’re transporting the ORV for a long distance, drain the fuel tank.
- Set the parking brake.
- Leave the fuel valve and tank vent cap turned off to prevent gas vapors from leaking. This is critical when transporting the ORV inside an enclosed vehicle.
