Muffler and Spark Arrestor

A muffler with a USDA Forest Service–approved spark arrestor is required on all OHVs. The muffler must prevent engine noise in excess of 96 dB when tested at the half-meter test according to the SAE J-1287 sound-testing procedure.

Brakes

Make sure your brakes can control and stop your OHV.
