Check for Special Concerns
No matter where you go to ride, be sure to check first with the land management agencies responsible for the area about any special concerns for the area such as access, staging, closures, and required permits.
- Various agencies have websites where you can find useful information on riding opportunities and directions to get there. The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) website is a good site to begin researching places to ride.
- OHV clubs are composed of outdoor enthusiasts who have firsthand knowledge of areas to ride. These groups not only are great resources for finding places to ride but also can help keep you informed about upcoming events, provide technical expertise, and share valuable tips on local resources. These groups and clubs usually are formed on the basis of the type of OHV used.
- OHV dealerships also can help you find places close by to ride.
- Local land management agencies have information and maps available.
